Temptation Bengals began with the purchase of my first Bengal, the cattery's namesake, Trendar Temptation. She was purchased from Trendar Bengals owned by Holly Brochard.   When I purchased Temptation, not only did I get a beautiful Bengal to start my breeding program, I also got a wonderful friend and mentor. Holly kindly answered many emails and offered her advice freely. She also designed and built the original pages of this website and maintained it for two years.

In September of 2007, my friend Bonnie Lindsey, owner of Riverpalms Bengals, contacted me and asked if I'd be interested in expanding my cattery and housing a few of her Bengals while she is in the process of moving. That's when we decided it was time to build our entire second floor into full blown cattery facilites for our adults.

Each and every breeder in our program is carefully chosen for the positive attributes they will bring to both our breeding program and the entire Bengal breed. All of our breeders come from Champion to Supreme Grand Champion bloodlines. Temptation Bengals places a strong emphasis on certain characteristics that we feel are important to creating that "wild" look associated with Bengals. Coat clarity and randomness of pattern, along with that silky soft pelted feel. We also place a strong emphasis on the apperance of our Bengals' head and face; short, round, well set ears, light puffy whisker pads, a strong profile, and square mug. Body structure is also taken into consideration, that's what gives a Bengal its "wild stride".

At Temptation Bengals, we put a lot of time and effort into socializing our kittens and in raising them in a clean, healthy environment. All of our kittens are raised in our home under foot, experiencing all the sights, sounds, and smells of daily life in a home. We have a beautiful daughter and a very friendly Black Labrador so our kittens are used to children and dogs too.

Since our humble beginnings in 2005 our Bengals have flown to homes as far away as Kansas and Iowa. We have been pleasantly surprised at how frequently people will drive from as far away as Massachussetts, D.C., Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City just to bring a Temptation Bengal home with them.  We have also had the privilege of having our Bengals join the breeding programs of others as far away as Kansas and even internationally to Canada.
